Virtual Discussion on Disability Inclusive National Budget 2022-23

Access Bangladesh Foundation, National Council of Disabled Women (NCDW) and The Samakal in collaboration with 4 Organizations of Persons with Disabilities-DCF, Sitakund Federation, TurningPoint and WDDF organized jointly a virtual roundtable titled ‘Disability Inclusive National Budget 2022-23’ on April 3, 2022. Ms. Shibani Bhattacharjee, Additional Secretary (Institution and Disability), Ministry of Social Welfare was present as Chief Guest, and Ms. Shaheen Anam, Executive Director, Manusher Jonno Foundation was a Special Guest in the event. The event started with the welcome speech of Mr. Abu Sayeed Khan, Managing Editor of Samakal and Ms. Nasima Akter, President of National Council of Disabled Women.

Mr. Albert Mollah, Executive Director of Access Bangladesh Foundation presented the keynote paper and raised 17 recommendations to the government. He also moderated the event.

The initiative was supported by Disability Rights Fund, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and Manusher Jonno Foundation.
